A truck carrying a helicopter caused heavy traffic on EDSA-Balintawak on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at around 4 a.m.. It was in front of the overpass when it stopped because the helicopter would get stuck if they tried to pass.
The story of Bayan Patroller Ruben Leaño, he and his wife were on their way to Balintawak Market but they got stuck in traffic. He also posted a video on his Facebook page Kaventot TV, where we can see the response of MMDA to help.
According to Leaño, it took about an hour before the traffic eased. "Thankfully it was Sunday so it wasn't that bad," he added. The video also shows the MMDA reversing the truck to avoid the overpass.
Based at the MMDA Eagle Base on Timog Avenue, the truck lost its way and instead of heading to Subic, it ended up on EDSA. The MMDA immediately responded to guide the truck back and make it detour to A. Bonifacio Avenue towards North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).
Fortunately, the situation was resolved quickly and traffic flow was restored to normal. However, due to the strange scene, many netizens posted pictures and videos online.
