Workers have good news! From April 30 to May 3, you can ride the MRT and LRT for free in celebration of Labor Day. Workers can ride for free on LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3.
This is according to the announcement of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on April 29. In a video message, Marcos said, "I have ordered to give our little tribute to our workers."
"In the Labor Day celebration, rides on the MRT-3, LRT-1, and LRT-2 will be free," Marcos added. "This is as a small recognition of the sacrifice and contribution of our workers not only to our economy but also to our society."
On the first day of free rides, many commuters were seen queuing up and boarding the trains. Everyone showed their gratitude to the workers for their tireless work.
