The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025 returns with eight entries for the celebration of the Philippine Christmas season. The Parade of Stars will take place in Makati on December 19 and the Awards Night on December 27.
Vice Ganda, Piolo Pascual, and other famous actors are in the competition. Some of the films are: Bar Boys: After School, about friendship and dreams; Call Me Mother, the story of a queer mother who adopts; and I'mPerfect, the first film in the country to feature two actors with Down syndrome in a love story.
There's also Love You So Bad, a love triangle between three new stars; Manila's Finest, action and mystery set in the 1960s; Rekonek, a family story set in the midst of a Christmas Internet outage; Shake, Rattle & Roll Evil Origins, a horror that will run for three seasons; and Unmarry, a family and annulment drama.
MMFF 2025 features a variety of genres from comedy, drama, horror, to family films. This is an opportunity for viewers to catch a glimpse of the brilliance and talent of Filipino artists this Christmas.
If you want, I can also create a shorter 3-paragraph version that's perfect for a FB post to be more catchy on social media. Would you like that?
