
Six members of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) were killed after their Super Huey helicopter crashed in Barangay Sabud, Loreto, Agusan del Sur on Tuesday.
Among the casualties are Capt. Paulie Dumagan, 2/Lt. Royce Louis Camigla, Sgts. Yves Sijub, John Christopher Golfo, Airman First Class Ericson, and Airman Ameer Khaidar Apion.
According to the report, the group was on its way to help victims of Typhoon Tino in the Caraga Region when the accident occurred.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the victims. So is Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, as well as the entire Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and PAF.
According to Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro, the dedication and sacrifice of the fallen soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation will remain alive in our memory. As part of the investigation, the PAF has temporarily suspended all operations of Super Huey helicopters.
