Actress Carla Abellana has appealed to a food delivery app to investigate a rider who failed to deliver a paid order.
On May 8, Carla shared that a foodpanda rider did not arrive even though the food was paid for. Another person called her, claiming to be a rider and saying that the order was Cash on Delivery (COD), even though it was paid for online.
“Huwow,” according to his post on Threads. Chef Jacqueline Laudico agreed with him, calling it a “repeated scam.” She wants the app to implement tighter security.
On May 11, Carla said that she had been refunded, but her plea continued: “Please investigate that scammer of a Rider 🙏.”
In food delivery apps, there are two payment options — COD or non-COD. If non-COD is selected, the order is fully paid. With COD, payment is only made when the item arrives.
