The 12-year-old victim, "Angel", was found dead inside their house in Nabunturan, Davao de Oro on Monday morning. The bed, floor, and walls in the bedroom of the house in Brgy. Matilo, where a minor was found dead after being stabbed.
The suspect was immediately caught in hot pursuit operations. He is the live-in partner of the victim's aunt. The suspect confessed to the crime and said he also took the child's piggy bank with P2,000 inside.
The victim's body will be subjected to medico-legal examination to determine whether the allegation that she was raped before being killed is true. A murder case will be filed against the suspect.
