In celebration of Traslacion 2026, the city government announced widespread road closures in Manila on January 9. Millions of devotees are expected for the annual procession of the Lord of the Nazarene, so security, order, and smooth flow of people and vehicles in the city are a priority.

The procession will begin at dawn and will pass through major roads to the Quiapo Church, prompting the implementation of temporary road and bridge closures. Motorists are advised to avoid the central part of Manila or plan their trips at other times to avoid heavy traffic and inconvenience.
