The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said that based on digital forensic exam, missing bride-to-be Sherra De Juan may have been under emotional and financial stress before she disappeared. According to police, the data came from her cellphone and laptop, and the investigation is ongoing.
Police Colonel Randy Glenn Silvio said that Sherra had messages showing concern about her father's condition and the expenses for her upcoming wedding. She also allegedly made online searches about medication before her disappearance. QCPD stressed that the case is being handled serious and sensitively.
Sherra De Juan went missing on December 10 after she said she was just buying shoes for a wedding scheduled for December 14. She has not been seen since.
The fiancé, Mark Arjay Reyes, strongly denied the police's claims. According to him, Sherra's father's medical treatment is covered by the HMO and all wedding expenses have been paid. He added that the online searches may be due to acidic and caution with medicine. He also insisted that Sherra was in good condition before she disappeared.
QCPD continues to contact Sherra's family and other agencies to find her. Police are asking for the public's help and are offering a ₱150,000 reward for information leading to her location.
