Netflix has released Tygo, a South Korean action thriller that is part of the Extraction franchise. It stars BLACKPINK's LISA, action star Don Lee, and Squid Game actor Lee Jin-uk.
Tygo revolves around the story of Tygo (Don Lee), a former child soldier turned mercenary. He enters the world of crime in Korea for a mission of revenge after an operation goes wrong. The film is based on the graphic novel by Anthony and Joe Russo, so expect intense action.
The Extraction franchise has been a huge success, with 90 million views for the first film and 123 million views for the sequel. As a result, Netflix is expanding its action universe even further with Tygo.
For LISA, this is her first full-length film. According to her, it has been her dream to be in an action movie for a long time and this debut is special for her. Don Lee also said that Tygo brings a strong Korean identity to the global Extraction universe.
