Google has brought Quick Share to work with AirDrop. Starting with the Pixel 10 series, Android and iPhone can now share files using Quick Share and AirDrop together.
Google said it did this with security as a priority, using robust protections that have been reviewed by independent security experts. This is part of its efforts to make it easier to compatability between Android and iOS, such as RCS and unknown tracker alerts.
In the video shared by Google, transferring files from Android to iPhone using Quick Share seems to be smooth compared to workarounds from OPPO, OnePlus, realme, and vivo. Google also said that they will make it available to more Android devices in the future.
If you have a Pixel 10, go to Settings, tap your name at the top for Google services, then find All services > Privacy & security > System services. Update the Quick Share Extension and reboot your phone to use the service.
