Actress and model Gina Lima, 23, was found dead in a condominium in Quezon City on November 16. Her ex-boyfriend noticed that she was not breathing so he immediately took her to the hospital, but she was declared dead on arrival.
Initial reports indicate that the cause of death was cardiorespiratory distress. An autopsy will be conducted to determine if foul play was involved or if the cause of death was natural, police said.

Gina's siblings arrived from Mindanao but did not give an interview to the media. The ex-boyfriend's father also gave a statement, saying that no trouble was heard at the time of the incident. Initial examination by investigators found no signs of a struggle or bruises on the victim's body.
