The famous “hamburg on rice” from Japan has arrived in Bonifacio Global City.
Hikiniku to Come, known for its charcoal-grilled beef patty served directly on rice, has officially opened its largest branch at Uptown Mall, BGC. This is a major step for their international expansion.
The team includes Shohei Yamamoto, a renowned food entrepreneur; Toshiyuki Konishi, creative director who designed the brand; and Toshuyuki Kiyomiya, a consultant to international restaurants. They aim to deliver a world-class dining experience using simple yet high-quality dishes.
The rice is always hot and freshly cooked, the meat is freshly ground every morning, and each patty is freshly grilled right in front of the customer. If a patty gets a little burnt or breaks, it is immediately thrown away—a testament to the strict quality standards.
Before opening, the staff from the Philippines underwent two months of training in Japan. Every cooking move is meticulous, disciplined, and carried out with pride—a true symbol of Japanese precision.
Here, guests can watch live cooking as their order is grilled. The exhaust system is specially designed to retain the smell of charcoal while customers eat comfortably. Meal prices start at approximately ₱600 to ₱900 depending on the serving.
