The three people — two men and a woman — are critical after a collision between a motorcycle and a tricycle on Talisay-Tanauan Road, Barangay Tumaway, Talisay, Batangas early Wednesday, October 15.
Two of the victims were riding a tricycle while the other was a motorcycle rider. The tricycle was from Binangonan, Rizal and was parked on the side of the road. The couple and their young nephew were riding it.
According to eyewitnesses, the rider was coming from a store with his friends. The motorcycle is suspected to be racing before it crashed into a stationary tricycle. The boy said the rider was still standing on the motorcycle before the collision.
"We saw three people stranded, luckily the child survived. He said they suddenly collided while they were stopped on the side of the road," said Joel Villanueva, barangay guard.
The three victims were immediately rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Police are still investigating the incident.
