The long-awaited KTM 990 RC R will officially begin production this October. This is a “supersport” bike that can be used on roads and racetracks, bringing with it the brand's renowned Ready to Race spirit.
Made in Austria, the 990 RC R features a steel chassis and diecast aluminum subframe for faster handling. It produces 130 PS and 103 Nm torque, powered by a Euro5+ compliant LC8c parallel-twin engine.
For form, the aerodynamic design is highlighted, along with WP APEX suspension, 320mm Brembo brakes, and 8.8-inch TFT display with ride modes such as STREET, SPORT, SUPERMOTO+, and SUPERMOTO.
For daily rides, it's more comfortable with adjustable footrests and an ergonomic setup for commute or long rides. It's available in orange and black colorways, and a track-only version is expected in February 2026.
Price has not yet been announced, but is expected to be around ₱1.2M – ₱1.3M, depending on the distributor in the Philippines. The 990 RC R CUP will also be released in Europe soon as a gateway for novice racers.
