The Minecraft 2 movie has been confirmed and is set to be released on July 23, 2027. After the first film grossed nearly ₱56 billion, production on the sequel immediately resumed.
Jared Hess will return as director and will also write the script with Chris Galletta. According to Hess, the Minecraft universe is vast and there is still much to explore for the next adventure.
Jack Black is also expected to return as Steve and Jason Momoa are expected to reprise their roles. There is also talk that more attention will be paid to Alex, who was first introduced in the end credits of the first film.
The official teaser featuring two pickaxes has made fans even more excited. With this, the beloved blocky world of Minecraft is sure to return to the big screen.
