A man was wounded after being shot by two holdapers inside a store in Barangay Katipunan, Quezon City. The incident, which occurred around 5 p.m. on October 8, was captured on CCTV. The video shows both suspects wearing red t-shirts and face masks.
The robbers pulled out a gun and attempted to take the victim's belongings and jewelry. When the man refused, he was shot in the thigh before quickly fleeing on a Honda motorcycle. The police immediately conducted a follow-up operation and with the help of the LTO database, they found the license plate of the motorcycle that took them to Rodriguez, Rizal.
The police learned that the owner of the motorcycle was a cousin of the suspects. The house was raided on October 9 and a woman who was with the suspects was arrested. Inside, several weapons, guns and explosives allegedly used in carnapping and other crimes were seized.
According to the investigation, one of the suspects has 14 cases of robbery and carnapping while his accomplice is involved in drugs. Operations are ongoing against the two who have not yet been arrested.
The victim's condition is stable. The woman who was arrested is facing charges of obstruction of justice, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and illegal possession of explosives.
