P716.15 million will be allocated to replenish the DSWD Quick Response Fund (QRF) for disasters. The QRF is used for immediate assistance such as food, cash, and temporary shelter to affected families.
The additional funds will be used to purchase food packs and non-food items, which will help approximately 424,681 families. It will also help with emergency cash aid for 41,502 families affected by the recent typhoons.
The fund also includes logistics expenses. This amount will be taken from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (NDRRM) for 2025, which leaves about P8 billion remaining to replenish the agencies' QRF.
