The new Nissan Tekton SUV is set to be launched in 2026 as a compact crossover that will be manufactured in India. It will rival popular models like the Creta and Seltos. The Tekton is produced in partnership with Renault and will also be exported to various countries from the Chennai plant.
The name Tekton comes from a Greek word meaning craftsman or architect. According to Nissan, it reflects the SUV's precision engineering, premium quality, performance, and design identity. Tekton aims to be the choice of people making changes in their career, passion, or lifestyle.
The design of the Tekton is inspired by the Patrol. This can be seen in the C-shaped headlamps, sculpted hood, and sturdy bumper at the front that give a commanding presence. On the side, the muscular stance and ‘Double-C’ accents on the doors that are inspired by the shape of the Himalayas are striking.
At the rear, a red illuminated lightbar runs from end to end, connected to C-shaped tail lamps. The Tekton nameplate is also visible on display on the tailgate.
The Nissan Tekton is promised as a premium SUV that will bring robust reliability, advanced technology, and elegant craftsmanship. Although no price has been announced yet, it is expected to enter the segment that typically ranges from ₱1.1M to ₱1.5M.
