A fastfood restaurant in Guiguinto, Bulacan was robbed early Tuesday morning. The thieves made off with a filing cabinet containing nearly ₱178,000 in cash, checks, and gadgets.
According to the police, the suspects entered the fire exit while wearing hoodies, covering their faces, and boarded the getaway vehicle headed to Plaridel. CCTV showed that two accomplices even helped lift the cabinet.
This was discovered by the manager at around 4:45 a.m. after noticing that the fire exit was open. According to the investigation, the lock was forced using a bareta. There is also no assigned security guard, so the PNP recommends hiring a guard, especially at night.
Backtracking revealed that the suspects' vehicle had a fake dual license plate. A former employee was also identified as a person of interest after being identified in CCTV footage.
The manhunt and follow-up operations are ongoing. A robbery case is set to be filed against the suspects.
