The body of a woman was found inside a white SUV in Barangay Sta. Anastacia, Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, past 2 a.m. on Thursday, September 25.
A security guard first noticed the SUV parked on the side of Spine Road. When he looked in, he saw a woman on the driver’s side, dead and with a gunshot wound in her body. The vehicle itself was also riddled with bullet wounds.
Based on the police report, the victim is 30 years old and a resident of Barangay San Rafael, Sto. Tomas. He was identified based on the ID found inside the vehicle.
He was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared dead on arrival. It is estimated that the damage caused to the vehicle due to the bullet wounds will reach ₱30,000.
The investigation and follow-up operation by authorities to determine the perpetrators and the motive for the shooting are ongoing.
