A Chinese businessman 55 years old was arrested at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) after arriving from Taiwan.
According to authorities, there is a fraud case against the businessman. The warrant of arrest was issued by the Regional Trial Court in Cebu on April 18, 2024.
The court set bail at ₱54,000, but he was immediately taken by airport police and is now in custody.
The arrest is part of law enforcement against foreigners or locals involved in fraud and illegal activities.
