The two elderly brothers died after being buried by a landslide in Sitio Aluhin Maliit, Barangay San Lorenzo, Mauban, Quezon on Sunday night.
According to police, their house was flooded around 8:40 p.m. after several days of heavy rain.
Rescuers recovered the bodies of Leon Ismael, 62, and his sister Divina Sangcap, 69 yesterday. They were immediately taken to the Mauban District Hospital, but were declared dead on arrival.
Two other victims, Teddy Trinidad and his wife Roslyn, survived and are currently being treated at the hospital.
Maj. Hubert Jabrica, chief of Mauban Police, urged residents in areas prone to landslides to be alert especially during continuous heavy rain.
