
The self-banning program of PAGCOR is for people who have difficulty stopping gambling. Under this program, individuals can request a ban against themselves or their family can apply for a loved one with a gambling problem.
You can choose to ban for 6 months, 1 year, or 3 years. For self-ban, the restriction cannot be removed for the first 6 months. After that, there is an option to remove it if the applicant wants. For family-ban, the ban continues until the entire period selected is over, and it cannot be revoked.
To apply, you need an application form from the PAGCOR website, valid ID, and two 2x2 ID pictures taken within the past 6 months. This can be submitted via email or in a drop box at the PAGCOR office. You also need to take a selfie or join a video call if the submission is online.
In family exclusion, the spouse, child, or parent must submit an application form, 2x2 ID pictures, a copy of the applicant's valid ID, and a birth certificate or marriage contract as proof of relationship.
According to a survey, 92% of Filipinos know about online gambling, and almost 29% have played or been tempted by it. Meanwhile, PAGCOR's revenue in the first half of 2025 increased to ₱10.8 billion, more than double compared to the same period in 2024.
