The elegant detective Benoit Blanc will return in the film Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. The official teaser showed a more dark and gothic story, a far cry from the bright scenes of the previous film.
The film is scheduled to be released in select theaters starting November 26, 2025, and will be available online on December 12, 2025. Its budget is estimated to reach ₱450 million before it is released on streaming.
The new mystery will revolve around the murder of a charismatic but strict monsignor in a New York church. Due to the “impossible crime,” Daniel Craig will be called back as Blanc to work with the local police.
The teaser also showcases the new ensemble cast, which includes Josh O’Connor as a priest, Glenn Close as a devout believer, and Josh Brolin as the Monsignor. The line-up also includes Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church.
The theme is more serious and full of faith, logic, and redemption compared to the previous chapters. Director Rian Johnson's style once again combines homage and new twists for a thrilling puzzle that is sure to impress viewers.
