Tropical Depression Lannie finally left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) yesterday morning. It formed around 2 a.m. near Sinait, Ilocos Sur, and left at 8 a.m.
Although Lannie no longer has a direct impact, its trough or extension still brings cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in the regions of Ilocos and Cordillera, as well as in the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino. Also expect thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening in Batanes, Cagayan and Isabela.
Meanwhile, the habagat continues to intensify rains in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, and Marinduque.
The rest of the country will experience good weather in the morning but possible thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening. In Northern Luzon, winds and waves will be moderate reaching up to 2.5 meters, while light to moderate in other areas.
PAGASA also recorded cooler temperatures in Metro Manila yesterday, from 25.8°C at around 5 a.m. to 27.8°C at around 11 a.m.
