Director James Gunn has announced his next film in the Superman series, titled Man of Tomorrow. It is set to hit theaters on July 9, 2027.
Gunn shared the news on Instagram with an illustration from renowned DC artist Jim Lee. The image shows Superman and Lex Luthor side by side. In the caption, he wrote: “Man of Tomorrow. In theaters July 9, 2027.”
No further details have been shared about the film. Man of Tomorrow follows the Superman film that was released this July 2025, which first starred David Corenswet as Superman. It also stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
The new film will once again feature popular characters and is expected to bring more fun and action for fans. The date of July 9, 2027, will surely be eagerly awaited by many in theaters here in the Philippines, where the regular ticket price is around ₱300.
