Yemen's Houthis released a video on Monday showing the missing crew of the cargo ship Eternity C, which they blew up and sank this month. In their statement, they said they had "rescued" the crew from the sea.
The video shows ten crew members who were allegedly rescued by the Huthis, most of whom were Filipinos. According to the statement, 11 crew members were rescued, including two injured people who were treated. Another body was found on the ship before it sank.
A man said to be an electrician is also seen lying down and speaking in English. Aspides said a Russian electrician had his leg amputated. At the end of the video, the crew was allegedly forced to say “We are sorry, Palestinians.”
Last week, Human Rights Watch said the detention of the crew was unlawful and called the Huthis attack a war crime. The United States also accused the group of kidnapping the missing crew members.
