
The two suspects in the killing of a 35-year-old man at a hotel in Cubao, Quezon City have been arrested by police. The bell boy found the victim bloody, bound, and lifeless inside the room.
According to the police, CCTV was a big help because it captured the suspects leaving the victim's room. The 20-year-old suspect was caught on Friday and his 35-year-old accomplice on Saturday.
The suspects allegedly had the motive of theft. They took the victim's laptop, cellphone, and motorcycle, estimated to be worth ₱250,000. It also emerged that the victim was in a relationship with the 20-year-old suspect, who was called “alias James.” They often check in to the hotel.
According to the investigation, the suspects first strangled the victim before tying and binding his hands and feet. Another suspect admitted that they actually planned to rob him but the victim was killed because he resisted.
The suspects will face charges of Robbery with Homicide and violation of the Anti-Carnapping Act of 1972.
