
A 53-year-old Filipino tourist died while riding the Frozen Ever After ride at Hong Kong Disneyland. This happened at around 10am on Friday, when he suddenly lost consciousness and fell.
He was immediately taken for medical attention but was pronounced dead at 11:30 a.m.
According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the Philippine Consulate in Hong Kong has coordinated with the police and the victim's family to provide condolences and assistance in repatriating the remains.
The consulate continues to coordinate with local authorities while insisting on respecting the family's privacy during this time of mourning.
Due to the incident, the theme park temporarily closed the Frozen Ever After ride from August 31 to September 19 as part of their operational adjustments.
