Police in Dasmariñas, Cavite have tracked down and confiscated the red car used by the suspect in the shooting of a Meralco technician in Barangay Salitran 3.
According to a police report, at around 7 a.m. on Friday, an abandoned vehicle was found in Barangay Pasong Buaya 1, Imus City. The suspect was identified and was immediately charged with murder at the City Prosecutor’s Office.
The recovered vehicle will be subjected to forensic examination for investigation.
It can be recalled that on Wednesday, the 54-year-old victim was shot while riding in a Meralco service vehicle on Jose Abad Road. The incident reportedly started when the service vehicle and the suspect's red car collided on the road.
The victim is now in custody, while his family has refused to give a statement.
