The couple Jezreel Tua Ramirez, 34, and his pregnant wife Jean, 33, were killed in a highway robbery on August 25, 2025 in Barangay Ugalingan, Carmen, Cotabato.
According to a report by the Cotabato Provincial Police Office, the couple was returning home in their multicab from Kabacan when they were stopped by armed men. They took their belongings and shot them with .45 caliber pistols.
Ramirez died at the scene from gunshot wounds, while his pregnant wife died in the hospital the next day.
The couple are residents of Purok 7, Barangay Poblacion, Carmen. The Carmen Police are currently conducting an investigation together with town officials to identify the suspects who quickly fled after the incident.
Officials and barangay guards continue to work together to catch those involved in the crime and provide justice to the families of the victims.
