The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has placed an alarm status on an SUV involved in a hit-and-run in Marikina City that injured a 74-year-old woman.
According to the report, the incident occurred at A. Bonifacio Avenue, Brgy. Tañong on Saturday morning. While the victim, Dolora De Gala, was crossing the street, she was suddenly hit by an SUV that sped away. Two riders immediately helped and barangay officers responded.
De Gala suffered a large wound on his forehead and bruises on his knee and body. As a result, the LTO issued a show cause order (SCO) against the owner of the vehicle. It states that the registered owner and driver must appear on September 1, 2025, 3:00 PM in Quezon City and submit an explanation as to why they should not be charged.
The SUV was also put on alarm and the driver's license was given a 90-day preventive suspension. If identified, it must be surrendered immediately. Meanwhile, Barangay Captain Danny Del Castillo and De Gala's family are calling on the driver to come forward and face his responsibilities.
“We saw the plate number NFS 6570. You know you were in a collision, help the family,” according to Del Castillo.
