The pairing of Kim Woo Bin and Bae Suzy will be seen again in the new series "Genie, Make A Wish" which will be released on October 3 on Netflix. The two last worked together in 2016 in the melodrama Uncontrollably Fond....
In the story, Woo Bin will play Genie who awakens after a thousand years to fulfill the three important wishes of Ka-young (Suzy), a cold and emotionless woman who finds a magical lamp. As Genie tries to adapt to the modern world, they gradually fall into a romance full of electricity and emotion.
Also starring Ahn Eun-jin, Noh Steve Sang-hyun, Ko Kyu-phil, and Lee Zoo-young. It is directed by Lee Byeong-heon and written by renowned writer Kim Eun-sook, who also created hit series such as Descendants of the Sun and The Glory.
For Suzy, this is an addition to her successful career after hit dramas like While You Were Sleeping, Vagabond, Start-Up, Anna, and Doona!. Meanwhile, Woo Bin returned to the industry after recovering from nasopharyngeal cancer and was once again recognized in projects like Alienoid, Our Blues, and Black Knight.
"Genie, Make A Wish" is set to air a few days before the celebration of Chuseok, a major holiday in Korea. Fans will surely be happy to see Kim Woo Bin and Bae Suzy reunite on the K-drama stage.
