More than P1.4 million worth of suspected shabu was confiscated from a construction worker and a mechanic in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Geronimo, Rodriguez, Rizal early Tuesday morning.
The 43-year-old construction worker from Quezon City is considered a high-value target. He was caught after selling a sachet of suspected shabu to a police officer posing as a buyer.
A 31-year-old mechanic from Rodriguez was also arrested after being caught buying suspected shabu from a construction worker.
An estimated 210 grams of illegal drugs worth more than ₱1,400,000 were confiscated from the two.
The suspects are currently in the custody of the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
