The city of Mandaluyong has launched expanded health services under the Yaman ng Kalusugan Program or Yakap sa Barangay. It aims to provide free consultations and health profiling at accredited Yakap clinics, as well as PhilHealth registration, updating of member data, and ID issuance on the spot.
It was attended by senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), solo parents, and beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) at the launch held at city hall.
Participants received free medical services such as laboratory tests, complete blood count, chest X-ray, dental consultation, and eye checkup. oral health kits and medicines were also distributed to those in need.
Mayor Menchie Abalos thanked PhilHealth for supporting the program.
Formerly known as the Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama (Konsulta) program, Yakap now offers broader medical services and benefits for Filipino families.
