The well-known Korean actor Song Young Kyu was found dead inside his car in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do. He was 55 years old.
According to the Yongin Eastern Police Station, the actor was found around 8 AM KST (7 AM PH time) on August 4. A friend reported the incident to the police after confirming his identity.
Although the cause of his death is not yet clear, his mood reportedly became heavy after news spread about his drunk driving.
According to a close source, he was deeply affected by malicious articles and comments. In June, he was caught driving under the influence and as a result, he was fired from a drama he was working on.
Song Young Kyu is known for the film “Extreme Job” in 2019.
