The National Police Commission (Napolcom) said there is sufficient evidence to file administrative charges against 12 police officers involved in the disappearance and killing of sabungeros.
They were charged with grave misconduct, irregular performance of duty, and conduct unbecoming of a police officer. According to Napolcom, there were also groups that tried to influence the investigation.
The case was reopened after a witness came forward and said he knew where the bodies were dumped in Lake Taal. Since July 10, the Philippine Coast Guard has found five sacks at the bottom of the lake, some of which contained human bones.
