Some churches in Quezon City served as safe havens for families affected by the severe weather.
According to the Diocese of Cubao, there are six churches currently accepting evacuees as temporary shelters. They released a statement on Facebook saying that the churches are open to all as a home and a refuge in times of disaster.
Here are the churches that are helping evacuees:
Holy Family Parish - Roxas District
San Antonio de Padua Parish
Basilica Minore de San Pedro Bautista
Minor Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish
At around 2 p.m., PAGASA reported that the low pressure area east of Aurora had become a tropical depression named Dante.
Amidst the rain and flooding, the church continues to provide help, care, and hope to those in need.
