Globe is offering free unlimited calls, texts, and data for those affected by heavy rains and flooding caused by typhoon Crising and habagat. The company announced on July 22 that Globe Prepaid and TM subscribers will receive free unlimited calls and texts to all networks, 100MB data for all apps, and an additional 100MB for Facebook, Viber, and others. This is valid for one day.
For Globe and Home Prepaid WiFi users, there is 5GB free open data valid for three days. GFiber Prepaid users in affected areas will also receive a three-day promo extension. Payment due dates have also been extended for Globe Postpaid and GFiber Postpaid customers to avoid further worries.
Globe also invites customers to use their Globe Rewards points to help with relief efforts like the Ayala Foundation's Hapag Movement using the GlobeOne app. Donations can also be made using GCash.
According to the NDRRMC report, six people died due to heavy rains. Up to 1,266,322 people or 362,465 families have been affected by Crising and the southwest monsoon.
