Some areas in Luzon have announced the suspension of classes and work this Tuesday, July 22, 2025. This is due to the continued rains brought by the southwest monsoon and two low-pressure areas monitored by PAGASA.
Provinces such as Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Pangasinan, Tarlac, and Occidental Mindoro are affected. An orange rainfall warning has also been issued for these areas, meaning that rains of 100 to 200 millimeters are possible.
Classes at all levels are suspended in many cities such as Manila, Marikina, Valenzuela, Mandaluyong, Malabon, and Caloocan. In provinces such as Pangasinan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, and Camarines Sur, schools have also been notified of the suspension of classes, depending on whether they will be in-person or online.
Some local government units have also implemented work suspension for government employees, except for those required to report such as medical and emergency staff.
