A Grade 10 student was caught in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tungod, Inabanga, Bohol on the night of July 17. In a report by the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), they said he was a high-value target in the illegal drug trade.
The suspect is 22 years old and a resident of Barangay Mantatao, Calape, Bohol. According to the police, he has been under surveillance for a long time. He was caught while selling one kilo of suspected shabu worth P6.8 million.
According to PCOL Arnel Banzon, the operation is a great victory in the war against drugs. He said it is a clear warning to those who continue to be involved in illegal drugs in the province of Bohol.
PLTCOL Norman Nuez, BPPO spokesperson, also said that the police's relentless campaign against illegal drugs will continue. According to the report, the suspect is said to be able to distribute one kilo of shabu per week.
The police are still investigating where the illegal drugs came from. They are encouraging the public to trust and cooperate to completely eradicate drugs in Bohol.
