Singer Jason Dhakal has a new song titled “Magic,” which was released this July 11, 2025.
The song has a calm R&B vibe, mixed with bossa nova sounds. In an Instagram post, Jason admitted that he wrote the song for “worthless men,” or 'not worth his time.
This is Jason's first release this year after his cover of the song "Kailan" from MYMP.
He shared in an interview that he grew up in Oman, Middle East, and he often listened to this song back then. He also covered "Awitin Mo (Isasayaw Ko)" in the same studio session.
According to Jason, he now wants to make music that is simpler and easier to listen to.
He now prefers a sound that is quiet, not too loud, and has serenity. This is the direction he wants to take with his music at the moment.
For Jason, “Magic” is not about fun but about being tired and sawa with the wrong person.
He poured his emotions into the song, and the song reflects the pull from a bad experience.
This song is proof that even in pain, art can be created.
This is not just a simple song, but a statement of begging for respect for oneself and choosing silence over chaos.
