LEGO has released a new TRANSFORMERS Soundwave set consisting of 1,505 pieces, for adult fans and collectors of the Decepticons. It will be released on August 1 for LEGO Insiders and August 4 to all buyers for $189.99 USD.
This is a LEGO Icons model that can transform from robot to cassette player without having to disassemble. It has a working cassette bay, movable joints, and interactive play button that plays with recorded voice and sound effects — a first in the LEGO Transformers series.
Also included are buildable Ravage and Laserbeak cassettes that can be placed on Soundwave's chest, as well as accessories like a laser blaster, rocket pod, and display plaque.
This is the latest installment in the LEGO x Hasbro collab that began with the Optimus Prime and Bumblebee sets. It's perfect for those who grew up with Transformers or new fans who want a classic look.
