A truck of LBC Express met with an accident in Atimonan, Quezon on July 8, spilling its contents of padala and balikbayan boxes onto the road. Photos and videos of the incident, which occurred on Diversion Road, went viral on social media.
Many netizens shared a post to warn OFWs that their shipment might be among those that fell. “It might be one of your boxes, the LBC in Atimonan was damaged,” according to a Facebook user.
LBC Express issued a statement on July 9, saying everyone is safe and that the affected shipments are currently being processed. “We know that every shipment is important, and we will ensure that it is delivered or provided with appropriate support,” the statement said.
LBC added that such accidents are a reminder of the importance of road safety for drivers, customers, and the community. They also asked for patience and understanding while the situation is resolved.
LBC is one of the most well-known courier services in the country that Filipinos trust, especially in sending balikbayan boxes and other important shipments.
