
Four of the nine people injured in a 10-vehicle crash on Sumulong Highway, Antipolo were released from the hospital on Wednesday night. According to the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center, the injured men aged 34, 59, 36, and 32 only suffered scratches and minor injuries.
According to Barangay Mambugan, five others were immediately brought to the Annex Hospital and Quirino Hospital for treatment. This includes the driver of the dump truck who is said to lose his brakes and cause the collision. He was also trapped in the vehicle for several hours before being rescued.
Currently, the driver is still recovering and may be charged for reckless imprudence which resulted in injury to others and damage to vehicles.
The Antipolo Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office is still monitoring the condition of the other injured in the incident.
