The new P-pop boy group GAT released their new single titled “Marikit” on June 13, 2025. This is a cover of the popular OPM song from Juan Caoile and Kyleswish, which was first released in 2020.
This is the group's fourth single this year. They also recently released “Rainbow” on June 6. As their official debut approaches, they continue to release covers of well-known Philippine pop classics like MMJ's “Daleng Dale” which went viral.
GAT is included in Billboard Philippines’ P-pop Rising Class of 2025. They were praised for their potential to take P-pop to a higher level. In an interview with Volumes, their oldest member Ethan David shared: “To me, the rise of P-pop is a collaboration – from the groups to the fans. It’s like a community.”
Composed of five members: Ethan, Derick, Michael, Hans, and Charles, GAT continues to grow its presence in the P-pop scene. Although they don't have an exact debut date yet, they are slowly making a name for themselves in the industry.
Their releases prove that they have a dream for OPM and the P-pop movement – which is collectively being pushed upward by fans and new artists like them.
