The two girls were rescued by police from the online pimping of their own mother in Angeles City. According to the PNP-Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC), the mother herself was selling indecent photos and videos of the children on the internet.
Police Lt. Col. Armelina Manalo said the suspect was allegedly taught by her foreign boyfriend how to make money from online sexual exploitation. After learning, she used her children in the online prostitution.
The mother reportedly earns P2,500 to P3,000 per transaction. When authorities raided the house, the mother was not there, so they were not immediately caught.
The children have been taken by the DSWD and are being protected. The suspect is still being sought to be held accountable by the law.
This is a reminder that children should be protected against abuse, especially online.
