A Chinese man was caught in an entrapment operation by NBI agents in Batangas. According to the report, he was involved in the illegal sale of smuggled onions and garlic from China.
The suspect was identified as Chen Mouzhun. He was caught accepting payment from an operative who posed as a buyer. The sale was for 199 sacks of onions and 51 sacks of garlic, labeled “imported from China.”
The suspect did not present any documents such as a business permit or import license. As a result, he was immediately taken into custody by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
