
A premature baby born on a flight from Clark to Incheon has died after losing his pulse. According to reports, emergency services responded immediately but the baby had no heartbeat when they arrived. He was taken to the nearest hospital but was declared dead.
South Korean authorities are now conducting an investigation into the events before and after the baby was born. They aim to determine the cause of the baby's death in mid-air.
According to the police, they have jurisdiction over the case because it occurred aboard a plane registered in Korea.
The mother was accompanied on the trip by her husband, mother-in-law, and daughter. The mother, a Filipina in her thirties, traveled from Clark International Airport to Incheon.
Investigations are still ongoing to determine whether negligence or natural causes caused the tragedy.
