An Indian businessman was robbed by thieves of nearly P1 million worth of diamonds and cash outside a mall in Greenhills, San Juan, last Saturday night.
While eating at a restaurant around 8:40 p.m., he was abducted by three suspects, Jamal, Mohammad, and Machol. They exploited and intimidated him before abandoning him in Barangay Sta. Lucia, where he was found by concerned people and taken to the police station.
Police recovered 30 ziplocks containing diamonds with certificates, P130,000 in cash, three cellphones, two watches, various jewelry, and four wallets from the suspects. They were caught in a house in Sta. Ana, Manila, and their getaway vehicle was also seized in Bulacan.
The police have initiated a robbery case against the three in the San Juan court.
